Only legal in 11 U.S. states, yet overwhelmingly supported by Americans across political lines. This film humanizes the issue, moving it from policy paper to kitchen table.
Grief & Agency
Jan lost her wife Joan suddenly, without choice. Now, she’s crafting her own exit—with champagne, compost, and friends by her side. Her story highlights the power of planning and the ache of what happens when we don’t have that chance.
Ritual & Legacy
Jan will become living soil through Recompose and raise a final glass of champagne with loved ones. These choices create rituals that empower others to imagine their own meaningful goodbyes.
